In the late 1970’s I would often go on photo outings with a good friend and fellow photographer. A favorite location was downtown Cincinnati on early weekend mornings. Cincinnati was a city in transition. While the big department stores had moved to the suburbs and parts of the downtown were crumbling, development on the riverfront was booming. The Riverfront Coliseum, next to the Riverfront Stadium was finished in 1975, the Serpentine Wall and Yeatman’s Cove were completed in 1976. The Arts were very much alive and active.

On one early morning photo outing, we met this burly truck driver loading up a trailer with cars to transport. He was very excited to show how he could get the pigeons to eat out of his hand.
